Through the method of network research and comparative analysis,this paper makes a comparative study on the master's education of iSchools library and information and archives management on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.The article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,mainly including five parts,the first is the source of the topic,the second is the background and significance of the topic,the third is the domestic and foreign research review,the fourth is the research ideas and methods,the fifth is the main innovation of the article.The second chapter is the basic outline of library information and archives management education at iSchools,mainly divided into two parts,one is library information and archives management education at iSchools and it's history,including constituent elements and core characteristics of information schools movement,the relationship between iSchools movement and library information and archives management education,the development and change of iSchools library information and archives management education;The other one is the characteristics of iSchools library information and archives management education,including having obvious interdisciplinary nature,diversified forms of education,meeting different needs,having a complete education level,mainly focusing on postgraduate education.The third chapter is the main part of the article — — a comparative analysis of library information and archives management postgraduate education at iSchools on both sides of the Taiwan straits.This part of the research can be divided into four aspects: The first is the basic system design,including the way of admission,the number of years of study and the analysis of graduation conditions;The second is the talent training model,including the goal of talent training and the analysis of talent training mode;The third is the curriculum,including the overall situation of the curriculum and the analysis of curriculum system structure;The fourth is the teaching staff,including the educational background of teachers and the analysis of research fields.The fourth chapter is the enlightenment of the comparative analysis of library information and archives management postgraduate education at iSchools on both sides of the Taiwan straits to mainland area.And according to the above research content,we can draw the corresponding enlightenment: In the basic system in the design,the first is to actively recruit overseas students and promote international development,the other is to bemore flexible in the way of admission and pay attention to the selection of diversified talents;In the mode of talent training,the first is to train interdisciplinary talents as the goal,the second is to mix teaching and perfect the diversified talent training methods,the third is to establish a reasonable evaluation system of talent training;In the curriculum setting,the first is to enrich the number of courses and provide individualized teaching,the second is to adjust the curriculum structure,pay attention to the cross-disciplinary nature of the curriculum,the third is to create the characteristic curriculum and maintain the independent discipline;In the teaching staff,the first is based on the characteristics of the college department and the balance the knowledge structure of the teaching staff,the second is to enhance the innovation of the subject,to build a high-level scientific research team,thirdly,"go out" "lead in",improving the international level of teaching staff.The fifth chapter is the conclusion and prospect,which summarizes the main research content of the paper and put forward the expectation to the development of library information and archives management education in mainland area.
