On Role Conflict And Role Adaptation Of Social Work Practice In Social Class Work

As the unceasing development of the society, education idea should take adjustmentaccordingly. Social work can solve problems in a new and different way when educationidea does not follow the step of social development. While it is on the path of perfection,social work will meet some problems unavoidablely, and role conflict of social workersis included. If we could deal with the matter of role conflict appearing in internship, Itwill promote social work practice development, even social work itself.Based on participant observation, questionnaire and interview survey, the thesispresents practice social worker’s role conflict and role adaptation during our social classwork internship in Wuhan and compares different impacts of the two.Role conflict takes place because of different understanding towards theresponsibility, the mismatching between personality and social work value, different roleexpectation and unreasonable hope from teachers in the school. It will have side effectson normal operation of our social class work and on the mood both of our intern and thestudents.In order to relieve role conflict, social worker must improve his own ability,including professional knowledge and adept skills. And at the same time, it is veryimportant to stick to social work value. Taking more time to stay with the clients ishelpful to eliminate the hindrances during social work class. Besides, the relevant partyshould take some measures to support social work’s development.
