Weak schools appeared as early as the1950s due to the presence of the key schools.Although the education reformation is carried out in our country in recent years, but due tohistorical reasons and unbalanced development of regional economy, the construction of weakschools is still an important problem in basic education. Transforming the rural weak schools,the booster to promote social justice, is to promote education equilibrium. Transformation ofthe rural weak schools can make more students to enjoy a relatively high quality education, torealize the education fairness. It is significant to improve the quality of education in China.This paper selects a weak high school in H xian of Hebei province--the X middleschool. Use the method of case study, through in-depth investigation, combine with X middleschool’s basic situation, and find the main problems of weak rural high school: the school’sfunds are insufficient; the infrastructure can’t keep up with; educational foundation is poorand management mechanism is not sound; teachers are weak, unstable; students are less andless and the quality is poor. The reason which caused the problem is mainly because theinadequate education funds for a long time and the lack of the school construction andsufficient financial support. School leaders lack scientific management ideas, managementlevel is low. The treatment of teachers is poor, seriously loss. Poor school running conditions,lack of attractions to students, school’s enrollment is difficult.In view of the main problems of weak rural high school and its causes, the paperrespectively from two aspects of government departments and schools, puts forward somecountermeasures to promote the transformation of the rural weak schools. In terms ofgovernment, conducive to the development of weak school tilt policy: to increase capital inputto the weak school, to strengthen the construction of the weak school’s leadership, improvethe treatment of the teachers, establish reasonable evaluation mechanism, enhance thepublicity efforts on education, integrate the necessary education resource. In terms of theweak school itself, it needs to improve the quality of the managers themselves, mouldhigh-quality teachers, develop poor student self-confidence, pay attention to the characteristicdevelopment.The existence of the rural weak schools are the result of many factors polymerization. It needsthe government to support, also needs development innovation of the school, collaborate bothinside and outside force, jointly promote the ascension of the weak school...
