The weak rural schools are not only the stumbling block of rural education development, but also in the way of educational equity and balanced development of education. Therefore,the development and transformation of the rural weak schools should be worth exploring and studying.In this paper,a qualitative case study method is used to investigate a rural weak school. Detailed information about the case was collected by means of sampling interview, field observation and literature review. Through the analysis of the survey materials, this paper summarizes the problems that restrict the development of the school,which mainly focus on four aspects, such as the heavy debt, the lack of teachers, the imperfect management and the prominent problems of the students. Then the paper analyzes how the school is gradually reduced to a weak school. It is believed that the key of the school from strong to weak lies in the misjudgment of the development strategy of the school, and finally becomes the weak school in the region under the joint action of many factors .According to the problems found in the investigation, the paper makes a positive study on the development of the school. Finally, the possible problems of this study were reviewed. The main innovation of this paper is that through the investigation,the author discover some possible problems of rural schools under the new situaltion of development. Combined with the actual development of the sample case, some feasible measures are put forward to improve it.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part explains the purpose and significance of the topic, and briefly introduces the background of the case.The second part mainly discusses the present situation of the weak school research,and explains the research methods adopted in this paper.The third part introduces the process of the case study, and summarizes the results of the survey.The fourth part, based on the comprehensive analysis of the reasons for the development of the school, discusses the countermeasures for the development of the school.The fifth part is the reflection and prospect of this paper.
