Obligations Curriculum Standards for Mathematics officially being promulgated means that the Mathematics primary education had come into a new journey. We, after a decade of Mathematics Education Reform, have made some achievements, but there are still many difficult things in front of the path of reform. The new mathematics curriculum standards advocate for everyone to get a good mathematics education and make different people get different development on mathematics. The sad thing is, however, the trend of the traditional teaching strategies still are widely used in the mathematics classroom is still slowly changed. Obviously, it has been out of the current mathematics curriculum standards. How is it to keep advancing with The Times by improving the teaching mode or teaching strategies? It has become each mathematics education workers are faced with the important task.Project-based learning(referred to as PBL), a kind of exploring type teaching modes, because of its success in engineering education training system, is widely used in abroad basic education field. But, in the China’s basic education stage, the theory and practice research of PBL is only in the beginning stages; especially its application is less in the junior middle school mathematics. In addition, the characteristics of PBL and mathematics curriculum have a lot in common, so the fusion of two is relatively more feasible. In view of this, this paper put the mode of PBL in the teaching application of junior middle school mathematics activity curriculum and tries to build a new teaching process——based on the in PBL——of mathematical activity curriculum.In the aspect of theoretical research, this article, first of all, comb to theory and practice research of PBL by referring to the literature at home and abroad. It, at the same time, also summarizes the development history of PBL and contains the theory of education and introduces the project learning from the definition of the definition, study process and the related evaluation theory three aspects. Secondly, this paper analyzes the junior high school mathematics curriculum education value, characteristics of teaching and the basic types of the teaching and discusses the middle school mathematics curriculum puts forward new requirements on it. Finally, PBL, its learning characteristics and the training goal just like Mathematics activity curriculum, is a new type of inquiry learning mode and is up to the mustard of the mathematics curriculum to the teaching in the activity curriculum.In practice research, this paper, on the basis of the theory, builds the teaching process based on the PBL in the junior high school mathematics curriculum, and it carries out the mode of practice of the its experiment research under the PBL in the class two, grade seven of the Hai Wang middle school. The author uses classroom observation and questionnaire surveys to validate new teaching process feasibility in mathematics activity curriculum. Experimental research shows that the teaching process based on PBL can help the students to ascend interests and the various aspects ability, and it is effective teaching mode in the mathematics activity curriculum.On the one hand, under the research of application of PBL in junior middle school mathematics activity curriculum, this paper, succeed in constructing a new teaching process, provides a available for junior high school students learning mathematics project activities and analysis that PBL are possible in training students’various aspects ability. On the other hand, the article also reflects the changes of the relationship between teachers and students and analyzes the existence itself limitations. All in all, though, it is a preliminary study that the author did work just to integration between PBL and junior middle school mathematics curriculum, but let us believe that it will become a focus of mathematics education reform, as people constantly in-depth understanding of the new mathematics curriculum standard.
