| With the continuous development of the new round of national reform in basiceducation, the curriculum resources as an important content of the curriculumrevolution are paid more and more attention by educators. The development andutilization of a variety of curriculum resources are a bright spot, also are an difficultpoint. Primary school science curriculum is scientific enlightenment course whichpurpose is to develop scientific literacy. Because the science course is carried out in adeep-going way without the support of a variety of curriculum resources, it is veryimportant and very necessary to dedicate to the development and utilization of theprimary science curriculum resources.As an important part of curriculum resources outside the school, the zoo plays avery important role in its rational development and utilization, and the development ofthe primary school science curriculum. This study made use of the existing primateresources in the Guangzhou Zoo, combined a part of the requirements on animalsprimary school science curriculum standards with the cognitive style andcharacteristics of the pupils in order to develop and use the extramural curriculumresources of the zoo. The study had designed a teaching resource pack of "Exploringthe secrets of a close relative of human-primates" which plays a promotion role to acertain extent. This teaching resource pack included instructional brochure,multimedia courseware, monkey paper-cuts and postcards, etc. This study made use ofthis teaching resource pack to teach and carry out scientific assessment at the sametime.This study is a strong complement to the animal part of primary school sciencecurriculum, also have a certain reference value to the further development andutilization of curriculum resources, at the same time reflects popular science featuresand educational function of the zoo. It is a bold attempt in the development of primaryscience extramural curriculum resource of the zoo from theory to practice. |
