The teaching theory of Constructivism is currently a kind of theory which has an important impact. It has had important influence on the development of Chinese teaching theory and practice since Nineteen ninties when transmitted to China. The teaching theory of Constructivism with Chinese characteristics went through two stages:first, introduce and explore it; second, critical reflect and deeply use it. Scholars elaborated the basic view of the teaching theory of Constructivism by publishing articles and works. Also the teaching theory of Constructivism was explored and used in all kinds and levels such as basic education, adult education, occupation education and so on. The Chinese new curriculum reform also promoted the research of the teaching theory of Constructivism with Chinese characteristics. The teaching goal, teaching content, teaching material, teaching model, teaching evaluation, teacher-student relationship and so on were marked for the teaching theory of Constructivism.There are five manifestation of the teaching theory of Constructivism with Chinese characteristics. Introducing basic ideas, theoretical study, literature with relation to the new curriculum reform, experimental teaching reform and practice of the classroom teaching reform and so on. The teaching theory of Constructivism with Chinese characteristics has many influence factors. The progressiveness and defects of the teaching theory Constructivism are fundamental factors, theory transmission subject and practical application subject consist of the subjective factors, politics, economy and culture are the important objective factors.There are some problems of the teaching theory of Constructivism with Chinese characteristics. For example, the tendency of formalism and mechanization is serious. We paid more attention to students and direct experience, but we also despise teachers and indirect experience. Process evaluation is taken seriously but summative assessment is ignored. We introduce the theory, but still not digest it. The polarized thinking mode is often applied in researching. The scientific consciousness is weak. Native theory research is out of line with practice. All these aspects are the problems of theory research and also the reasons of the problems which exist in practice.The experience of the teaching theory of Constructivism has enlightenment about how to use foreign teaching theory. We should closely integrate our education practice with global vision, strengthen native theory research ceaselessly, combine the theory research and practice. And contribute strength for the formation and development of the teaching theory with Chinese characteristics.
