Under the background of new curriculum reform, according to the guide of thenew curriculum ideas, the junior high school chemistry textbook has been adapted invarious regions in China. New materials not only have the function of informationresources, but will also promote the overall development of students as its startingpoint and end point, the selection and presentation of knowledge is more diversed,especially the setting up of the teaching part, truly realized the translation from the"textbook" to "learn-book" the shift from" text "to" dialogue ", and from"knowledge" to" quality ". Then how about the specific use of the sections in the newtextbook? How to develop the vivid, diversed forms of these sections to play theirimportant rool to realize the curriculum aims? These answers have a direct furtherinfluence on improving the textbook and teachers’ teaching.This dissertation is according to the study of the compulsory textbook Chemistry which is published by Shandong Education Publishing House (hereinafterreferred to as Shandong Version textbook). Based on careful analysis of newmaterials and Columns layout style characteristics, teaching materials in the "activityworld"," experimental exploration"," exchange and sharing"," know more "," onlinetest "," long story short"," challenge yourselves "," information surfing "," thinkabout it "9class sections, from the columns distribution column classification, thefields, the function, through surveys, interviews to know the usage of teaching parts,according to the combination of theory and practice to make recommendations of theuse of the textbook sections, and according to the experienced teachers’ actual teaching cases to further analyze the use of the columns, and strive for providingtheoretical support to the design of the teaching materials and teachers’ use of thesecolumns.This dissertation is divided into seven sections:The research problem is raised in the first chapter and explained in two aspects:First, the objective needs of the junior high school chemistry curriculum reform andteaching materials design; Second, the practical needs of junior high schoolchemistry teaching practice.The theoretical basis of this project is described in the second chapter. On thebasis of reading the relevant literature, to Elaborate on existing research from thecolumn function, column classification and column features, and to raise theinsufficient study of the existed research and to determine the basic content of thefollowing study.The purpose, ideas and methods are presented on the third chapter.The fourth part is the theoretical basis of the study and is the focus on textbookcolumn analysis. First, this paper analyzed the style of Shandong Version junior highschool chemistry textbook new layout. Then carried out a detailed in-depth analysisabout the textbook columns from the characteristics, numbers and distribution, andthe type and content, particularly the major column classification and contentanalysis section, the column is divided into "active column","thoughtful exchangescolumn","informative column" and "consolidate integration column ", and carriedout a detailed analysis according to the content and function, to provide theoreticalsupport of the propose of column recommendations while helping teachers deepentheir understanding of columns. The fifth part is the investigation and analysis of the column use of ShandongVersion junior high school chemistry textbook, is the empirical part of this study.Through the way of interviews with teachers and students questionnaires, tounderstand the actual situation about the use of the column and its problems. Thesurvey found that there exists a certain gap between the actual use and writers’original intention, did not play the proper role of the column.The sixth edition is the column recommendations and case studies of ShandongVersion junior high school chemistry textbook, this study is the core and focus of thisdissertation. Combined with theoretical analysis and practical teaching investigationmade recommendations: careful use of active columns, rational design inquiryactivities to enable students to get overall development in inquiry activity; takeadvantage of exchange and reflection columns to create problem situations, so thatlet students gain knowledge in thinking; make efforts to develop an informationcolumn, enrich students’ horizons, so that students can feel chemistry aroundthemselves; consolidate the integrated column, and strengthen cooperation andcommunication, to enable students to get common progress through self-reflection.Finally, based on the experienced teachers’ teaching cases to further analysis the useof the textbook columns to provide examples for the frontline teachers.The conclusions of this study and prospect are presented in the final chapter.
