Sukhomlynsky is a great theorists and practitioners in Ukraine, his powerfulpersonality charm and great contributions on education, attracting a large number ofadmirers and followers constantly to learn and research his thoughts on education. Many education experts at home and abroad from different perspectives analysis andstudy of his education thought, but research on his self-education thought is not so much.Sukhomlynsky is not only propose the idea of self-education, but also put it intopractice. He is recognized for the granddaddy of self-education thought. This paperattempts to study systematically the profound viewpoint self-education, absorb theself-education essence, and explore the value of self-education in our educational circle.At the same time I hope to it cause more education experts and scholars focus on theissue of self-education, and actively promote the practice and development ofself-education in china.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is presented topics reason, significance, research methods, researchideas, presented research results at home and abroad, further analysis of the meaning ofself and self-education.The second part is to analysis the background of Sukhomlynsky’s self-education. Summarizing the main aspects of the historical background from Sukhomlynsky’s life, theoretical foundation and personal factors.The third part is to summarize the content of Sukhomlynsky’s self-education andsummarized as self-esteem is the dynamic mechanism of self-education;emotion is thecore of self-education;teachers are the first impetus of the self-education;the real manis the ultimate goal of the self-education.At the same time it summarize thecharacteristics of their self-education ideas.The fourth part is to state the practice of Sukhomlynsky’s self-education thought inBovleksh Middle School and analysis the difficulties and obstacles that it encountered inpractice.The fifth part is to give an objective evaluation to Sukhomlynsky’s self-education,clarify the meaning of his self-education thought, and analysis the limitations of hisself-education. His self-education contains abundant spirit.So this paper try to findimportant inspire function from of Sukhomlynsky’s self-education to our school’seducation.
