Since the new curriculum reform, the research on history class instructional objectives hasbeen paid more attention in academic circles. The definition of "the behavior subject of historyclass instruction objectives", also changed from "teachers " to "students ". However, no matterfrom the meaning of "the behavior subject of history class instructional objectives" itself, or thecharacteristics of the discipline of history, the requirements of educational philosophy, and theappeal of curriculum reform, even from the attitude of students, the behavior subject of historyclass instructional objectives must include both teachers and students. The relationship betweenboth of them is not isolated, so we called it "double behavior subjects". Look at the theoriesbefore new curriculum reform about "the behavior subject of history class instructionalobjectives", especially the theories of "students only subject", there is an obviousmisunderstanding: or understanding the instruction objectives mechanically, or equating the"behavior subject" as the subject in a sentence, or take the "three dimensional objectives" as theassignments only in the light of students, and take the theory of "students only subject" as theonly right theory to reflect the idea of new curriculum reform. Why do we have thesemisunderstanding? On one side, maybe the theories of "the behavior subject of history classinstruction objectives" have some defects and bugs, on the other side, maybe some historyeducators and teachers insisit on the thoughts of "binary opposition", from a perspective withstatic, unilateral and dogma when they look at the problems. They also take all of problems asan attitude with "eternal" and "use doctrine", and ignore the research on teachers themselves. Ifwe want to change this situation radically, first, we should make students take part in setting thehistory instructional objectives, promote the objectives from "teaching" to "learning" in everyhistory class; second, we should know the importance of the "double behavior subjects" theory. It will help our history teaching more effective and better.
