| Now, with China’s rapid economic and social growth, and the changes in the disease spectrum, expectations for health and healthcare needs are rising in the crucial stage of health reform. A high level of medical and health personnel training are essential for improving medical and health services as a whole team. At a high level training, involving in health talents in China does a lot of important work, and has achieved significant results with a certain quantity and quality. However, along with the diseases and health needs, and the training is facing the challenges of innovation, talent development, talent management, and many others.On the base of the human resource theory, and through statistics on China health human resources information and data, this study assessed the current status of human resources development, analyzed the problems in healthcare talents resource development and management in China. The main objective was to explore China’s high-level health human resource development directions and provide a valuable reference for future training.The main research method included the national data statistics of Chinese health workers and health professionals:the number of health professionals in higher levels, degrees, titles, geographic distribution, and distribution of various institutions. The on issues in the present situation of Chinese high-level healthcare human resource development were explored, and policy recommendations to improving training development in China were provided.Main findings of this study:the number of the healthcare talents is increasing rapidly,; the distribution of the talents in the healthcare facilities and in different regions is unbalanced and is difficult to meet the need of the health requirement of the people; the investment in the talents development is relatively poor and becomes an obstacle; the management for the healthcare talents is delayed seriously, and the talents outflow is an important problem.Policy recommendations of the research included that high-level health talent resources of development needs to give national policy support, to clear the development needs of the health talents, to establish the capacity model for the development, and to innovate development mechanism, using mechanism. By improving the continuing professional development and continuing medical education of the healthcare talents, we can solve the current problems of total insufficiency, unmet needs, and unbalanced structure. |
