In the support of our country, the secondary occupation education has got greater development. But in the aspect of improving teacher’s overall quality needs to be further improved. In order to improve the secondary vocational school teacher’s overall quality, the key is to promote professional development of teachers, especially the teachers’ professional development. Because the essence of teacher’ professional development is the teacher’s professional autonomous development, only the teachers’ own initiative development is the real effective "professional development", this is the premise and basis of the professional development of teachers. So, this article by the collation and analysis of previous studies, using literature method, questionnaires method and interviews method to understand the current situation of China’s secondary vocational schools teachers’ professional autonomy development, and to identify problems, and analysis the cause of these problem. Thus propose the strategies of promoting the teachers’ professional autonomy development of vocational school.The study consists of five main parts:The first part, introduction.Elaborating the problem raised,the purpose and significance of the study,as well as to define the core concepts of this study,including teachers ’professional development, professional self-development, secondary vocational schools, vocational teachers’ professional autonomy development.The second part,literature review.This part is mainly to sort out and analyze previous studies literature,consists of teacher’ professional development, teacher’ professional development stage, the teachers’ professional autonomy development and vocational teachers’ professional development, explain the vocational teachers’ professional development and asked the inadequacies of existing research.The third part, research methods and the research process.This research mainly uses the self-compiled questionnaire "the investigation questionnaire of secondary vocational school teachers’ professional autonomy development",survey teachers of some Shandong secondary vocational schools,from three dimensions of awareness, capacity and approaches of teachers’ professional autonomy development to investigation.The fourth part,survey results and analysis.In this study, by the statistics of the results of the questionnaire,summarize the existing problems of vocational teachers’ professional autonomy development mainly include:vocational teachers’ professional autonomy development awareness,lack of real action;lack of capacity of professional self-development; lack of motivation of professional autonomy development; lack of effective development approach.And analyze the reasons for these problems:teachers subjectivity neglected;teachers’ basic needs are not met;evaluation mechanisms are inadequate;lack of effective external environment and policy support.The fifth part,countermeasure.For problems exist in the secondary vocational teachers’ professional autonomy development and cause analysis,asked the following countermeasures: including personal level strategy and external environment support. Such as in-service teachers to strengthen professional self-development awareness;strengthen and enhance teachers’ career aspirations;improve the system reflect ability of vocational teachers; education departments should attach importance to the vocational teachers’ professional autonomy development; schools creation of the cultural environment and atmosphere that is conducive to the vocational teachers’ professional autonomy development.
