Along with the continuous progress and development of the Chinese society, people paymore and more attention to the problems of education fairness. Education fairness is animportant part of social equity which is a historical problem. It will continuously adapt withthe change of the society, no matter when, in which society, or in which class. For China,which is the biggest developing socialist country, the inner fairness problems will beespecially apparent on the initial stage of socialism in the early21th century. Among them,education fairness is the first one to be solved. As one of the important parts of social equity,the particularity of education fairness lies in the fact that it is not only a embody of socialjustice in the field of education, but also a key factor in promoting social equity, and animportant means to achieve social justice. Since China’s reform and opening up, especiallysince the restore of the university entrance exam system, China’s education fair problem hasattracted extensive attention of the whole society. Through a series of policy reform inpractice, China has achieved an enormous progress. However, we still could find many unfairphenomena in the concrete and practical education activities, and the unfair phenomenaoutside of the educational system are more serious. Such as educational inequality betweenurban and rural areas, between different regions, between different classes, gender difference,and the imbalance in different categories of education and so on.Marxist education fairness theory is the source of the theory of education fairness withChinese characteristics. It has an important value guidance and scientific methodology onpromoting the practice of education fair with Chinese characteristics. It is the need of thedevelopment of China to analysis the education fairness under the condition of socialistmarket economy, with the guidance of Marxism education fairness. It is also the needs of therealization the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education, the strategyof reinvigorating China through human resource development and the needs of theconstruction of a harmonious society. The formation of Marxism education fairness is basedon the critique of varieties of other ideas about education fairness. Marxist education fairnessis one of the most important parts of Marx’s theory, which has rich content including the following main aspects: First of all, the equal right to receive education is the primary goalof the pursuit of educational fairness. In Marx’s view, the equal right to receive education isthe starting point to realize education fairness. If the starting point is not guaranteed, there isno need to talk about the final realization of education fairness. The realization of the equalright to be educated is the basic requirement of the realization of the education fairness.Secondly, people’s free and all-round development is the highest ideal of education fair. Marxand Engels think that the only way to make free all-round development of man is thecombination of production with education, which is the education in the future. Third, socialpolitics and economy is the important condition to realize the education fair. The equality inpeople’s politics and economy determines the degree of the realization of the educationfairness.In the past years, people have carried on unremitting exploration about the problems ofeducation in both theory and practice, which has reached a series of achievement. Over thepast30years of reform and opening-up, it is the principle of consistency of the generations ofcollective leadership of our party to promote the development of education fairness andpeople’s education, no matter in which historical period. In the generations of core leadershipof Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping, our party and nationhave made great effect to promote education fair, try to realize the universal education, whichare the thought and politic dream of Marxist. They have made a leapfrog development in ourcountry’s education. The factors which affected education fair, such as class, composition andso on have been cancelled. Popularize of nine-year compulsory education and the recovery ofcollege entrance examination system enabled the rural and urban youth have a fair chance ofreceiving higher education. There is a great progress in the practice of our nation’s educationfair, and an increasing investment in education resources in every respect. But also there is afair question, which cannot be ignored. Both in macro aspects exist unfair between urban andrural, regional and class, also in the field of micro teaching exist unfair in education startingpoint, education process and education results. The reasons of education unfair incontemporary China are not only the restriction of economic and traditional thoughts, but alsothe deviation of the education policy for many years, such as the imbalance in education resource, education policies and rules of injustice. To solve Chinese educational unfairquestion, we must first establish the idea of educational equity, this idea is adapt toharmonious society; secondly, we should improve policy guidance of the educational fairness;The third is to strengthen the legal protection of the education fair; furthermore, It isimportant to optimize the education environment.This article based on the overall vision of Marx’s philosophy, from the concept of justicefair、and fairness of education of the Marx doctrine, through literature research method,comparative research method, research methods of empirical analysis, summarized thetheory of education fairness in Marx classical theory.In order to construct the guidance topromote Chinese characteristic education theory and practice of promoting the Chinesecharacteristic education fairness theory.
