A Comparative Study Of Chinese Ancient Selected Text In The New PEP And BNU Compulsory High School Language Teaching

Selected issue of the ancient literature works has been closely watched by the various sectors of society, especially the language educators. At present, the researches of ancient works by Chinese scholars focus on teaching many practices, ignoring the compilation of teaching materials themselves. In this article, the selected ancient works between two materials(compulsory high school language textbooks of the new PEP and BNU)are compared using the comparative method, content analysis method, etc., investigating the existing two sets of textbooks comprehensively and meticulously.The first chapter, in this historical and cultural background of the new curriculum reform, introduces the compiled history of ancient poetry and articles in high school language textbooks and the overall characteristics of the two sets of textbooks. The second chapter, describes the guiding ideology, the preparation of the team and the preparation’s classical values in the two sets of teaching materials, comprehensively compares the written concept of two sets of materials. Chapter III compares and analyses the contents of ancient poetry and articles through the table of contents, dynasty belongs and genres three aspects; Chapter IV, through the distribution of lists and genres, introduces organized structure of two sets of materials and compare the Organized structure from Different locations of the same table of contents in two sets of materials. The fifth chapter summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of selected ancient poetry and articles in the two sets of textbooks, providing advice to high school language textbook for selecting ancient poetry and articles.This study is excepted to make society more fully understand these two senior high school curriculum standards for general experimental textbooks,and provide some reference for Selected works of ancient materials. Ultimately the research is able to make high school language textbooks better for education, and improves the quality of language teaching.
