In the era of knowledge economy,talent has become the main driving force to stimulate economic growth.Talent training is the most basic function of colleges and universities.The key to talents cultivation in colleges and universities lies in teachers,and performance appraisal is the most important factor affecting the overall quality of teachers.To establish a scientific and rational performance appraisal system can fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the entire teaching staff,play their creativity,improve their enthusiasm for scientific research,,and thus improve the core competitiveness of colleges and universities.At present,KPI is widely used in enterprise human resource management.And it is also suitable for teaching staff performance evaluation by analyzing.The construction of the staff performance appraisal system taking KPI as the core will help the fairness of performance appraisal,and it is also beneficial to the specific operation and implementation.It plays an important role in promoting the further development of colleges and universities.This article is established in the case study of college K in Yunnan Province.Firstly,it discusses the relevant theories in detail.In succession,it introduces the basic situation of college K,analyzes its current performance appraisal system and points out the existing problems and possible reasons of it.The questionnaire is designed to determine KPI by the respondents,who rate the importance of indicators.This paper selects the total score of the top fifteen indicators as the key performance indicators.The assessment system is more scientific by using PCA to distribute the weight of KPI reasonably.Owing to the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods in the design of performance appraisal system,the assessment process is easy to operate and implement.Finally,it gives detailed introductions about the security conditions and the problems that should be paid attention to.This text combines the theory of performance appraisal with the practical situation of college K,constructing the performance appraisal system for college teachers which is the core of KPI.It can be used for reference to deepen the performance reform of colleges.
