Since the year of2001, the curriculum reform of basic educational has been in full swing.The formulation of Music Course Standard of the Compulsory Education points the directionfor the music education in schools of China. It marks a new stage of the basic music educationin our country. For many years, the Yantai Municipal and Yantai Government pay highattention to education and always place education development at the first place, making thecompulsory education of Yantai the healthy, sustained and stable development. With theHuirao Middle School in Yantai City as an example, the author analyses the investigation ofthe implementation of the Music Course Standard.The text mainly discusses this object in four aspects:First, the thesis first makes a detailed instruction and analysis to the Music CourseStandard in middle school (hereafter referred to as the Standard), then it compares theStandard and the Syllabus for Music Course (hereafter referred to as the Syllabus).Second, the thesis studies the investigation of the implementation of the Standard in HuiraoMiddle School deeply. Starting from the present situation of the music education in HuiraoMiddle School, the research method and overall design thought of the investigation areestablished. The investigation mainly focused on how high school pays attention to the musiccourse after the new standard being established, the implementation of the Standard in musiccourse for the teachers, the completion of the course content in the Standard for the students,the use case of the music textbooks in the school, the classroom practices (cases) and so on.Third, according to the investigation, the author finds the new changes after theimplementation of the Standard, and at the same time, the author also finds some problemsthat: music education is in an imbalanced development; the class efficiency is not highenough; the misuse to the new standard of the teachers leads to the ignorance of the train tothe study ability and thinking mode of the students; the teachers’ role need changing; theeducation department does not place enough stress; the funds is insufficient and so on. Allkinds of problems need solving. The author sets forth the efforts to implement the Standard ofthe school in the future according to the existed problems that: the school should pay moreattention to the reform and improve the teaching condition to provide intellectual support andmaterial guarantee for the implementation of the music new standard of Huirao Middle School; the standard should be implemented according to local conditions to develop andutilize all kinds of educational resources of music culture; teachers should establish theall-live study idea and improve the academic level of themselves; and the train to theknowledge and skill and the agility and diversity should be paid attention in music teachingmethods.Fourth, according to the investigation of the implementation of the Standard in musiccourse in Huirao Middle School, the author puts forward reasonable implementationsuggestions to the course content and the problems existing in the course objectives in theStandard.The research is on the basis of the analysis and summarizing of investigation andpractice. It provides a reference for teachers to learn the Music Course Standard better andavoid the erroneous zones in teaching implementation and practice. The author hopes thatmore first-line teachers could realize the Standard rather than following it blindly via theinvestigation and analysis to the implementation of the Music Course Standard in HuiraoMiddle School in Yantai. And the author hopes the thesis could be a suggestion and referencefor music teachers to teach music better.
