College postgraduates ideological and political theory course is the main front of the ideological and political education of graduate students and is an important part of the ideological and political theory courses. Graduate students who are the future of high-level personnels and the cause of socialist modernization and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation’s successors must have a high quality. Postgraduates can deepen and expand undergraduate ideological and political theory courses of study, further understand the theoretical knowledge of Marxism, Mao Zedong Thought, the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics and further improve the level of Marxist theory, ideological and political quality, theory faith thinking skills, research and innovation, and firm Marxist socialism with Chinese characteristics and beliefs in ideological and political theory Teaching.This paper firstly will discuss the important significance of college postgraduates ideological and political theory course teaching and then will expound the course orientation and importance of ideological and political theory courses. Then will combine the analysis and summary of the related literature and the results of empirical research on current situation of graduate students ideological and political theory course teaching put forward the current main issues of college graduate ideological and political theory teaching exist students’ enthusiasm is not high enough, teaching contents and reality problems are not tight binding, single teaching methods, assessment methods are not enough scientific and understanding and attention of the practice of teaching is inadequate, too much teaching class size, shortage of teacher-student interaction, and several other aspects problems.Finally will closely link the objective reality of current college graduates ideological and political theory teaching and combine relevant literature, put forward the following targeted countermeasures.First is to increase students’ enthusiasm to learn ideological and political theory courses;Second is to optimize the teaching content, strengthen to combine with the practical issues; Third, use a variety of teaching methods; Fourth, establish a scientific and rational appraisal method; Fifth, strengthen the practice teaching awareness and attention; Sixth is to reduce the number of teaching classes to enhance student-teacher interaction.In the course of graduate students ideological and political theory teaching, to improve the depth of theory and practice on the basis of undergraduates ideological and political theory, in order to achieve the objectives and requirements of "step by step, deep step by step", to form a stronger convergence of college ideological and political theory teaching system. Universities should closely combine the reality of the graduate student’s thought and life and the reality in the process of China’s socialist modernization construction,continue to strengthen the college postgraduates ideological and political theory teaching research and reform, overcome difficulties and solve practical problems, give full play to the ideological and political theory teaching, create a new situation of college postgraduates ideological and political theory teaching.
