Since the new curriculum reform, experiential learning has become a new way oflearning healthy explored by the academic. And as a moral nature of the curriculum to theideological and political course, experiential learning should be applied to the specificpractice. This paper majors in studying the meaning of experiential learning, analyzing thebasic theories and practical significance of experiential learning on ideological and politicalcourses, and then analyzing the implementation process of experiential learning combinedwith the current situation of ideological and political teaching. The author mainly usesmethods of literature and logical analysis, trying to explain the experiential learning onideological and political course from the following three parts.The first part is an overview of experiential learning. Firstly, the paper analyzes theconcept of experiential learning. Secondly, basing on the scholars’ comprehensiveunderstanding of experiential learning to define the meaning of experiential learning onideological and political course. Finally, it accurately sums up the characteristics ofexperiential learning on ideological and political course,which consists of the following fouraspects: subgjectivity,experience,significance,activity.The second part is the theoretical basis and practical significance of experiential learningon ideological and political course. The paper’s theoretical foundation is based on thephilosophical theory of knowledge, the human psychology theory of humanism, theeducational theory of “Combination of Teaching” and the cognitive constructivist theory oflearning. On this basis, it further explores the significance of experiential learning onideological and political course that promotes the students to know how to learn, to sublimatethe meaning of life, to enhance the aesthetic taste, and to achieve the self-development.The third part is the implementation process of experiential learning on ideological andpolitical course. This paper summarizes and reflects on the entire study to draw conclusionsand implementing concrete measures to experience learning methods, which consists of thefollowing four aspects: establishing experiential learning objectives, creating experientiallearning situations, carrying out experiential learning activities and starting experientiallearning evaluation.
