The comprehensive high school is a high school running mode which combine ordinary high school with vocational high school. It is a new school mode that students can choose ordinary university, vocational colleges or careers based on their learning achievement, ability and interest, after having finished basic education. The creation and promotion of comprehensive high school is a great pioneering work, having changed the long-standing secondary education in the field of double track mode of domination, and providing a new mode for the development of secondary education. In recent years, comprehensive high schools have begun to build in some areas in China. Due to the late start, small scale, their development has been in controversial. Especially in rural areas, it is not only lack of deep theoretical foundation, and problems frequent arise in running process. Therefore, this paper selects the Experimental School in T county as the research object, by the use of investigation, interview, on-the-spot observation and other research methods to find running-theory, so as to put forward a feasible strategy for the development of rural comprehensive high schools.Facing those problems, it is necessary to thought:what is the cause of the frequent problems? What is the cause of backward development of comprehensive high schools in the county? Based on the all-round-development of individuation education theory, and the specific conditions and characteristics of T county, the cause of frequent problems have been discovered:lack of understanding of the comprehensive high school; the influence from the traditional concept of talent; curriculum and teachers not financing; and under-financed of construction standards.Finally, based on the running of comprehensive high schools in T county, and the level of local economic and social development, some suggestions have been summarized. Firstly, correctly understanding the comprehensive high school:the educational goals, main functions and advantages. Secondly, integrating curriculum, combining the curriculum construction with local agricultural environment. Thirdly, strengthening the school-based training and finding other ways to improve teachers’ Professional level. Finally, increasing investment.
