The Ministry of Education issued "the art curriculum standard of senior high school (trial)" on March31th,2003.The new curriculum reform of normal senior middle schools formally started in Guangdong,Shandong, Ningxia and Hainan Province Autonomous region in September,2004. Nearly ten parts of provinces and districts which followed constantly took part in it.Until2010, the new curriculum Reform of senior middle school spread all over the country. The H City began to carry out i in September,2008.And this city have implemented it about ten years so far. Since the implementation of New Art Curriculum Reform of senior middle school has to base on the effective implementation of every subject. Therefore, paying attention to the implementary current situation, degree of every subject in senior middle school,as well as discovering problems and shortcomings, and searching effective strategies will be very important realistic significance for promoting whole Chinese New Curriculum Reform of senior middle school.Based on the overview of Module Curriculum,the research investigated35art teachers and320students of11high schools in Hunan H City, reflecting the implementation status of art curriculum in H City’s high schools, understanding effectiveness and the main problems of the new curriculum has been made in the implementation process, analyzing the problem reason and proposing a reasonable strategies, to provide a useful reference for the smooth implementation of art curriculum in this region.The paper is divided into five parts.Part one is Introduction, which mainly introduces its idea, value orientation, structure, design elements, features and implementing recommendations.Part two is the results and analysis of investigation research, which investigates and analyses the implementary current situation of Chinese new art curriculum in senior middle school from the implementation of the following three ways-school level,teaching level and learning level.Part three is research conclusion,which includes the gaining successes and the problems they have revealed.At first,through investigation and find out that Chinese new curriculum in senior middle school has made some achievements:The Module Curriculum come into art course in high school; Curriculum ideas bring new teaching concept; Curriculum objectives is in easy operation; Curriculum motivate teachers to try new teaching methods; Curriculum evaluation standard is multivariate;,students achieve self-assessment and peer assessment in the module course。However, the effect of Chinese new curriculum implementation in senior middle school of this area isn’t obvious, the pace of Chinese new curriculum reform in senior middle school is slow in all, and many problems lie in the process of implementation:The seriously insufficient in hardware standards of module curriculum; the disconnect between curriculum standards and current textbook,the failure sharing between curriculum and teacher resource, poor effectiveness of teacher training courses,the conflict between module teaching skill requirements and the teachers reality skill; the difficulties exist in students’literacy development;the block of setting up elective courses for curriculum.Part four is reason analysis during the implementation:the deviation exists in setting curriculum goals; the awareness in module courses of school management; the inconsistent between the existing training and curriculum goals demand; the art college entrance orientation affect the curriculum objectives to achieve; the conflict between teachers’ professional competence and curriculum; the underpowered learning motivation of students which affected by small Branch culture.Part five is strategic analysis to improve the Module Curriculum.:to build a global view of high school course,to adjust module curriculum standard; to deepen the lack of understanding of the course module, to change art teaching concept;to sound module curriculum materials, to smooth out the way of curriculum implementation; to seek financial support, to complete the module hardware; to encourage inter-school teachers’ exchanges; to promote module curriculum resource sharing; to implement the curriculum goals according to the various development needs of students; to focus the teaching course needs, to improve the effectiveness of teacher training.
