Music is one kind of art,which can mold people’s mind as well as making our life morecolourful.Music education is a good way to implement the quality-oriented education,and itis significant in inspiring intelligence and creativity of the students.With the development ofeconomics and educational reform, music education is steping to a new stage especially inputting practical music education into effect. The fast improvement of the quality-orientededucation requires a higher standard atmosphere of music education. Music education hasachieved a lot since the curriculum standard(draft) trailed in2001. However, what is thecurrent situation about music education at school, how does music education develop in thefuture remains an urgent topic. The author investigates music education at primary school andtries to put forward some suggestions.The government of Zoucheng has invested a lot in music education, which making musiclessons more colourful and multimedia teaching widely usd. The situations is not sooptimistic when given a futher observation. The research shows that there are still problemscan not be ignored. Due to the economic unbalancedness among different areas, the scales ofinvestment in education vary from each other. Therefore, this article analyses music educationdevelopment at parimary school in Zoucheng in detail on the basis of a good understanding ofthe issue, several methods such as questionnaire survey、Interview、comparative analysis areproperly used.This article mainly discusses the issue in three aspects: The first part gives a summaryabout the reasons of the investigation、methods to be usd and the background of musicduecation in Zoucheng. The second part is the field survey, apart from teaching、takingmusic lessons, interviewing school leaders, recording textbook as well as multimedia devices,the author pays more attention to the attitudes towards music lessons among teachers、leadersand students. In the meantime, careful collating and rational analysis has been made. The thirdpart aims at offering reasonable counterplans towards music education at primary school inZoucheng and strives for its usfulness.
