Research On The Sustainable Development Of Agriculture In Shuangyang District Changchun

Agriculture, in China, which is a country with an ancient civilization and has a history of thousands of years of economic and social development, has been the foundation of the national economy, supported the livelihood of the people and also been the pillar of all kinds of industries. As we all know, the saying goes like that "agriculture is the mother of industry". The development level of agriculture in a country is related closely to its social stability and the living conditions of the people. No enrichment without industry, and no stability without agriculture, therefore, developing agriculture fully is critical to the social stability and people’s livelihood in China. Jilin Province, as a major agricultural province in our country, both the commodity amount and the commodity rate of its grain have been among the highest. Shuangyang District of Changchun City, as one of the most important grain-producing areas, its grain production has gained bumper harvests in the past ten years. The sustainable development of agriculture in Shuangyang District is closely related to the improvement of peasants’ living standard and quality of life and it will be the best choice for Shuangyang District to achieve the sustainable development of rural economy.Based on the special factors of humanity, geography, environment, etc. of Shuangyang District, this paper makes a specific research and analysis of the tendency of Shuangyang District’s agricultural sustainable development. According to the above, the author makes use of the basic principles and methods of sustainable development and ecological economics to propose the countermeasures and suggestions, hoping to achieve the reasonable integration of agriculture, economy, society and ecological benefits of Shuangyang District. This paper argues that there are advantages in natural resources for agricultural sustainable development of Shuangyang District, but there are also some disadvantages in this area such as the quality of personnel in agricultural science and technology, the quality of agriculture labor and utilization of agricultural inputs; there are rare opportunities from many aspects including the environment of developing sustainable agriculture, the increasing demand for safe agricultural products for urban and rural residents, but there are also challenges in the respects of agricultural infrastructure, reduction in farmland resources, agricultural ecological environment construction, and so on. Therefore, we must strengthen the agricultural environmental management, strengthen resource management, strengthen infrastructure construction, protect the ecological environment, develop ecological agriculture, increase agricultural inputs in science and technology, and strengthen the research, development and application of environment-friendly new agricultural technology.
