Research On Labor Force Employment Potential In Anhui Province

Employment is the basic for people’s livehood. Is not only economic issue butalso a social issue and a potical issue. Anhui is a populous province and is alsoextremely rich in labor resources. However,because of the profound changes ineconomic system and social structure, the structure of economic and industry hasundergone major changes. The differences between the characterstics of laborsupply and demand lead to a prominent problem of structural unemployment. What’sworse, the force in rural release outward,which further make the situation ofemployment tighten.The structure of economic growth is a major cause in manyfactors. Changes in the economic structure determine the scale and the level of theemployment, its main manifestations of the industrial structure, therefore, it isnecessary to study the impact of the industrial structure of the sub-sectors ofempolyment.This paper use the input-output model, combining with structural decompositionanalysis,which not research on the industral direct employment effect, but alsoresearch on the indirect employment effect. Firstly, I analysis labor supply anddemand characteristics in Anhui province in order to identify the main factors. Inaddition,I use the theory of elasticity and the degree of deviation of the industrialstucture to explore employment potential industry. Secondly, according to theinput-output balance relationship,I build a theoretical model and select theappropriate indicators to identify three industrial structure of neutron industryemployment potential industry; Thirdly, on the basis of the input-output model,combined with the structural decomposition technique (SDA) to decompose theimpact on employment factors to reveal the impact of the main cause of theemployment potential of the industry; Lastly, I give some relevant advice onemployment in Anhui province.The conclusions are as follows:⑴Tertiary industry is the most potential aboutemployment (such as Transportation and warehousing industry；Wholesale and retailtrade; Accommodation and catering industry; Resident services and other socialservices); Secondary industry employment has great potential (such as Metal smeltingand rolling processing industry; Chemical Industry; Electrical appliances, machineryand other electronic equipment manufacturing e.g);⑵final consumption is a majorfactor in many factors which affect employment; Economic and technical factors isdepend on industry; Labor occupancy factors hinder employment.
