Research On The Ability Of Different Industries To Obtain Employment When The Production Structure Changes

Following by economy increasing, industrial structure continues to optimize and adjust. The employment structure as the part of industrial structure also continues to change. Therefore, carrying out the research on the employment structure change is an important approach to enhance economic growth of a country or a region. And it is of great theoretical and practical significance.On the basis of leonitief's input-output techniques, then combining employment theories and other econometrics methods, the dissertation builds an employment system analysis model, unifies"quantitative analysis"and"qualitative analysis", and studies the ability of different industries to obtain employment in Fujian Province. There are main contents of the paper as follows:1 Based on the leonitief's input-output graph, labor ratio is introduced into leonitief's contrary matrix. Then the paper sets up employment multiplier matrix to analyze the ability of different industries to obtain employment.2 By means of input-output model and the principle of Structural Decomposition Analysis, the paper deduces the model on measuring the effect factors in the time sequence, and finds the reasons on employment structure changing. Thus, it shows the inherent relation between the production structure and employment structure, leads to how to adjust industrial structure, and makes industrial structure and employment structure harmonious.3 Taking Fujian province as an example, the dissertation applies qualitative and quantitative ways to research the input-output data in 1987, 1992, 1997 and 2002. Through a lot of matrix calculations about 100 thousand data, it compares with direct and indirect industrial employment abilities in the immobile time point, and identifies the industries that have the greatest ability to obtain employment. In addition, it solves the problem of structure of industrial employment ability variance which is due to such elements as technological advance, final demand, labor choice changing and so on by the dynamic analysis. At the end of the paper, I make the policy suggestions on how to adjust the employment structure of Fujian province.
