Supplier Management In The MRO

The supplier management in the aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) industries isselected as main subjects of this article. Combining with the author’s working experience. As the main part of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) in the MRO, suppliers are the start of the logistics as well as the end of the SCM information series. The main factors of the suppliers’management include supplier sourcing and selection, supplier quality systems, delivery and customer service management.Firstly, the basic theory related supplier management such as Supply Chain Management, Supplier Relationship Management is introduced. The supplier performance evaluation tools including Balanced Score Cards and KPI is used as well.Secondly, the company’s supplier management as well as purchasing management is presented to identify and the main problem and challenges on the supplier management.Finally, supplier management scheme such as the establishment of supplier management section is put forward to strengthen the strategic partnership with suppliers and a series of improvement measures is optimized by using the Balanced Scorecard and KPI method.The author hopes to provide the research guide for supplier management in the aviation MRO...
