Research On IT Outsourcing Risk Control Of Medium-sized And Small Enterprises

With the globalization of information, many companies choose the way of IT outsourcing to promote enterprise information construction so as to realize their strategic goal. More and more enterprises enhance their core ability, reduce cost and optimize the business combination by outsourcing their unimportant IT business. However, due to the complexity and uncertainty of IT outsourcing, even the large enterprises which their IT outsourcing are more mature are confronted with many problems in the process of IT outsourcing, let alone the small business which are still in preliminary stage of IT outsourcing. But the small business become more and more important in improving the comprehensive strength, so the management and risk control of IT outsourcing is particularly important for the small business.On the base of reading and summarizing large number of literature, paper reviews the latest development and research of IT outsourcing management and risk control, and found that most foreign and domestic scholars were mainly focus on one aspect of IT outsourcing, such as motivation of IT outsourcing or outsourcing environment. Even for the largest interest research of outsourcing risk is incomplete, or focusing on finding the risk factors, or pay attention to risk control. And the studies of clients are most large enterprises. Not only the comprehensive study of IT outsourcing is not much, but the view of the small business is also relatively lack.Taking the small and medium sized enterprises as the research object, paper conduct a comprehensive IT outsourcing study for the small business from risks identify and risk control of IT outsourcing process. Firstly, the IT outsourcing management of enterprise is analyzed from two aspects which are enterprise internal management and contractor’s management and put forward corresponding suggestions aiming at exiting problems. Secondly, according to the general process of IT outsourcing and different feature, IT outsourcing process is divided into three phases which are outsourcing decision, outsourcing execution and outsourcing acceptance, and then combining with reading of literatures to identify possible risks and to analysis these risks on base of constructing flow chart of IT outsourcing. Paper summarized12kinds of risks in all. After that, paper designs questionnaire about these12risk factors and investigate IT outsourcing of small business through anonymous questionnaire. With the aid of SPSS and factor analysis, paper gets the data to be empirical analysis and get some risk factors which have a greater impact on enterprises’IT outsourcing, which provide reference for small business putting their limited resources to control main risk factors. Besides, paper put these12risk factors down to four kinds of comprehensive risk factors by using factor analysis method to dimension reduction. Finally, the paper puts forward the corresponding control measures for these four kinds of risk factors.
