With the continuous development of social economy, global warming and climatechange is becoming the focus of attention. Urban traffic carbon emissions, due to rapidgrowth of the number of vehicles, have become the cause of the high carbon in China. Gasresources which are causes of high carbon emissions are mostly non-renewable energy.Meanwhile Beijing severe traffic congestion, fog and haze lingers groaning noise exhaustto Beijing residents a heavy impact.No matter from the Angle of green city, low carbon economy, energy supply, ensuresafety point of view, or improve the environment for the capital city, urban transportationenergy consumption reduction has important significance. And carbon emissions bydifferent means of transportation are obvious different, adjust the residents travel mode,optimize traffic structure, is one of the ways to construct the low carbon city in Beijing.The purpose of this paper expounds the research background and significance,analyzes the research status at home and abroad, summarizes the research theory ofscholars both at home and abroad, defines the connotation of the urban traffic structure,and from the perspective of low carbon analysis in optimizing the structure of the Beijingtraffic problems.Then analysis the differences of different way to travel and current situation ofBeijing traffic structure from public transport and private transport, zero carbon transportdifferent carbon emissions of the means of transportation, such as angle put forwardproblems of Beijing traffic structure first. And in-depth analysis of the causes of theBeijing traffic structure existing situation.According to the analysis of the problems and reasons, the selection of targeted thethree representative analyzed one by one and the significance of the city, find out thedifferences, and compares aspects worthy of learning is discussed and summarized.Through the comparison and reference, integrated Beijing’s own characteristics, putsforward some Suggestions that can carry out. Explore if optimize traffic structure inBeijing, so as to realize the method of reducing Beijing traffic emissions targets. Lay afoundation for the sustainable development of Beijing.The research of this paper may provide certain reference for development of lowcarbon traffic in China and reference.As constraints of the study, and relevant statistical data is difficult to obtain. Situationof the structure carbon emission sources and transportation Beijing have not been able toanalyze with specific data, which is the inadequacy of this article, is also the author’s regret.Hope work can continue to carry out this study to make up for this shortcoming in thefuture.
