Due to the process of large-scale construction projects require a large amount ofresources, the consumption is not balanced and the main goal is inconsistent, resourcemanagement has become a key factor which restricting its smooth implementation,especially where the resource conflict has become a major problem that perplex manyproject managers. Therefore, by actual survey, this article analysis the internalmechanism of the frequently resource conflict in-depth and put forward targeted newideas and new methods for resource conflict management, provide a modern thoughtto solve resource conflicts scientifically for large-scale projects in practiceFirstly, this paper has designed a questionnaire for the appearance information ofresource conflict for the construction phase of the project systematically, and discussesthe implementation process of the entire investigation from the respondent, area,volume and methods in detail. After obtaining the preliminary data, the authorconducted screening and pre-processing first to exclude unsatisfactory samples, andanalyzed whether the remaining samples can ensure the objectivity of further researchaccording to statistical theory. On this basis, analyze the structured data statisticallyfrom two levels, in which preliminary statistics and analysis is mainly aimed toclassified analysis of the samples’ attribute information, and the overall statistics andanalysis is focused on the appearance characterized of resource conflict, and thensummed up seven categories in the practical resource conflicts.Secondly, according to the survey results, from the perspective of thecharacteristics of project resources, this paper summary the resource conflictsappearance features in five aspects of number, scope, frequency, intensity and relevancein-depth, enshrined underlying causes of appearance features of the resource conflictmainly including the unequal status, target inconsistent, unbalanced interests, asymmetric information, lack of resources, unsmooth communication, trust is notsustained, cognitive not convergence, plan is not perfect, and external uncontrollable,and build a model of the intrinsic relationship between the factors. The article also fromthe start of Stephen P. Robbins conflict five-stage model to analyze the evolution ofresource conflicts theoretically, which was divided into five parts, namely as potentialconflict, perceived conflict, intentions conflict, behaviors conflict and conflicting result,and finally, using the theory of self-organizing of systems science to make holisticdescription of the system evolution of the resource conflicts.Finally, according to the theoretical analysis of the mechanism and evolution ofresource conflicts, in light of the insufficient approach in resource conflicts oftraditional project, we proposed new mechanism of resource conflict management basedon the theory of self-organization, combined with the system features of the evolutionof resource conflicts, from the areas of identifying the target, identifying conflict,impact assessment, program implementation and effect of feedback the implementcomprehensive and whole process supervision from potential appear to fully address forresource conflicts. However, compared to higher costs and the unpredictable impact ofprocess supervision, this paper has analyzed how to optimize the allocation of projects’resources to control resource conflicts from source, and empirically analyze thesubsidiary of Guangzhou Asian Games venues.
