| Along with the economic globalization,the automotive industry market competition environment and the intense market access threshold based on the increasingly higher requirements,automobile manufacturers tend to develop vehicle through building alliances,joint ventures or setting up cooperation projects under collaborative corporations in order to leverage complementary advantages of resources of the alliances to enhance the competitiveness of products and reduce cost through amortization with larger volumes.But the collaborative projects are confronted with many problems and complexities,which brings great difficulties to the management of the project team and causes many conflicts in the project management.The study of conflict management in project management is based on the real case of collaborative project of Sino-French culture by using interviews and questionnaire survey.Through the combination of cross-cultural management and collaborative project management theory,the study analyzes the causes of conflicts.By using the basic principle of game theory,it also explains the cooperation dilemma in the case.At the same time based on the two-dimensional conflict resolution model,the study puts forward the cross-cultural collaborative project conflict resolution improvement model with project management thinking,and provides a series of methods of how to solve the conflicts between cooperative sides and improve project performance.Because of the lack of research through cases study,especially the lack of studies with Chinese cultural background,project conflicts study in cross-cultural cooperation is a new research territory.The results of this study can be used as a reference on a similar circumstance by the cooperative enterprises which have cooperation projects.It can also help enterprises or governments during the process of the project and decision-making procedure of project management to improve performance of the project team and to increase the efficiency of collaborative operations. |
