| Network planning technology is an advanced management technology working asthe manner of process control in project management. Network planning technologywas first emerged in America, and then obtained a lot of attentions in westerncountries. The researches and the practical realization of the technology are wellmatured. However, in China, research on network planning is rich, the practicalapplications are comparatively poor. The reasons lie in that project management teamcannot get rid of the traditional rough thinking, which leads to low efficiency ofnetwork planning applications. This paper first collects the related research resources, and studies the principlesof network planning technology and its practical application. Compared with theforeign research works, we analyze the problems in project management activities inChina. We conclude that in China, the principle research work is sufficient but theproblems mainly lie in the practical activities, where the management persons arelacking of professional knowledge. Moreover, these persons who are obstacle bytraditional management manner, which makes that the network planning technologycannot be applied sufficiently.Based on the problems we concluded above, we propose the strategies to improvethe performance of network planning technology from the aspects of preparationperiod, network graph drawing period and implement period. In order to show our proposed strategies, we further give an example whichnamed Qingyang petrochemical company new and relocation project. In this project,we first figure out the current problem it faces, then, we redesign the networkplanning graph of the project using the network planning technology. In order to make the related workers understand the network graph, we further depict the importantmilestone points accordance with the network graph. Moreover, we propose moredetail strategies to ensure the implement of the network graph, including setting upconstruction meetings, completing the rewards and punishments as well as enhancingthe communications with non-producing departments. |
