Household Heat Metering Management System Based On ASP.NET And Multi-tenant SaaS Model

To further enhance the residents’ awareness of energy-saving and improve the comprehensive utilization of heat energy, household heat metering reform is conducted comprehensively in northern region of China. The northern region will basically achieve the energy-saving reform of heat by2020. But as more and more heat meter is installed, management problem is more and more prominent, such as the difficult of management and charge.According to the actual investigation, the current heating management system is based on C/S structure or B/S structure. The C/S architecture model can only provide service for heating company, not providing convenience for the majority of families and not realizing the control and query by Internet. B/S architecture requires heating company to hire professional IT personnel for building and maintaining the server, thus, increasing the operating costs of the heating company. Considering that provide services for the majority of families, the costs will increase again. The server is used mostly in the heating period of Winter and is in idle state in the other time, thus, causing the waste of the server resources. Helping the heating company and the majority of families to manage the heating system by Internet and reducing the operating cost at the same time have become a realistic problem to be solved urgently.The paper applied the multi-tenant concept of the SaaS to the heating management system, combining with the latest trends of the software. The software will be deployed on the cloud server by software vendor, providing services for many heating companies by Internet. The heat company can order functions of software and pay for software according to the ordered functions and the rented time. When heating is started, when renting begins, it is very convenient like using water and electricity. According to the theory of "long tail", the more heating companies rents, the lower the cost is, thus further reducing operating costs of the heating company.Firstly, the paper introduces the related technology of heat metering management system, including the GPRS transmission technology, M-BUS automatic meter reading technology and SaaS model. Secondly, the paper introduces the composition of heat metering management system, including the temperature control meter, data collector and the upper computer software. Then the paper mainly introduces the design of data collector and the upper computer software. The program flow char, key codes and the communication protocol are given. Finally, the paper describes the design of database and the algorithm of the heat allocation.The household heat metering management system that we designed has run for some time in a heating company. The results show that:it not only can provide convenient and quick service for heating administrator and the majority of families, but also provides data support for heating companies to make energy-saving and scientific strategies. At the same time, it also breaks the situation that heating companies build up their servers, reducing the operating cost.
