| With the development of foreign trade in the port area, there shows a trend of rapid development of containers passing through the harbor. Thus, the pressure of keeping a high-efficiency in containers passing through the port is obviously increasing. Whether the scale of concentrate inspection area is reasonable or not to some degree affects the efficiency of container terminal logistics of harbor and the port competitive ability. It is necessary to do a scientific study in determining the scale of concentrate inspection area in container terminal, which is a significant way to promote the efficiency of land utilization in port area, and also it contributes to the intensive for port planning and layout.Combining the characteristic of port customs clearance in china and analyzing the operation process of concentrate inspection area in container terminal sufficiently, this research puts forward a model named "Simulation of Concentrate Inspection Area in Container Terminal"(short for SCIACT), which is based on the clarifying the key elements and their relation in concentrate inspection area operating system.In addition, by comparing the indicators of actual concentrate inspection area with the results of SCIACT model, the verification of the model’s effectiveness and validity is given. Then, through the simulating the model of an instance port, the research offers some proposals specific to a planning concentrate inspection area in china at the end of the dissertation.Owing to the fact that there is no design formulas on computing the scale of concentrate inspection area, the scale of concentrate inspection area is determined through empirical coefficient by the port construction apartment when a concentrate inspection area is to be planned and constructed. Thus, the experience calculation method could not guarantee the applicable and the scientific of the results because of the operational differences of the ports in china. With the help of computer simulation technology, this study is an innovative attempt to research the scale of concentrate inspection area. The research achievement can give a technical support for port planning and design. It is also a great significant to the port development and construction at the same time. |
