The Study On Anchorage Satuartion Of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port

Ningbo-Zhoushan port located the estuary of Hangzhou bay on the southeastern coast of China, as well as the Yangtze River, the Qiantang River and Yong River. It was treated as the foundation of the Yangtze River delta, Zhejiang province, Ningbo city and Zhoushan city, and also as the window of the reform and opening up policy. The development of Ningbo-Zhoushan port is booming in recent years with the fact that its cargo throughput has kept on the No.l place in the world for six consecutive years. The container throughput leaps to the world’s fifth largest container port.However, in basis on increasing quantity of the berth, the port throughput and a rising number of ships, the anchorage development of Ningbo-Zhoushan port does not match the port development. At the same time, there are potential accidents. In order to give full usage of limited resources of anchorage, the paper based on the research of the Ningbo-Zhoushan port anchorage saturation, comprehensively evaluating of port anchorage practical utilization and the tightness, for providing necessary reference and basis on planning new anchorage to Ningbo-Zhou port.Firstly, the paper analysis navigational environment in Ningbo-Zhoushan port, including natural environment, the port environment and the traffic accident factors in 2014. Then, the paper briefly introduced VTS, AIS, and AIDS to navigation, and relevant safety regulations of Ningbo-Zhoushan port. Secondly, through the theoretical analysis of the anchorage capacity of anchorage from specification requirements, different type in different ways of anchoring required anchorage area were analyzed. Combining with the relevant saturation theory and the actual usage of anchorage, the paper analyzed and synthesized anchorage saturation condition. At last, the paper are put forward the suggestion of Ningbo-Zhoushan port anchorage.
