With the continuous development of computer and Internet technologies, traditional production management modes can only provide limited benefit for enterprise to liberate the production forces and improve management efficiency, therefore, enterprises should keep up with the times, explore and practice advanced manufacturing modes.MES, short for Manufacturing Execution System, can provide a manufacturing environment with fast response, flexibility and elaboration, and help enterprises to improve quality, optimize production cycle, reduce cost, and improve customer satisfaction. It is the key technical method for enterprises to implement highly efficient manufacturing strategy and achieve agile workshop production.Currently MES is widely used in the manufacturing industry abroad, and has brought significant economic benefits to the enterprises. However, its application in China is still at the starting stage. Besides, MES systems in domestic and foreign markets are usually tailored to mass production enterprises with production lines. Therefore, it’s very difficult for them to meet the production management demands from an electronic assembly workshop in a specific aerospace manufacture, where mandatory and urgent productions with multi-variety, low volume, high precision, as well as highly repetitive and irregular development and production commissioning tests that disturb normal production orders are frequently needed. In addition, the Information manufacturing path currently prevalent in enterprises across the world is to build relatively independent ERP and MES systems, which only performs data interaction and communication with each other without business interaction in the application and business level, and is not beneficial for enterprise information systems to achieve an integrated function. Therefore, the primary research content of this paper was to use UFIDA ERP system NC platform that is currently used in a CASC(China Aerospace Science & Technology Corporation) manufacturer, to integrate and develop a MES system applicable to the electronic assembly workshop in this manufacturer that primarily uses non-production-line production methods, to realize information management of the whole process in the workshop from task acceptance to product completion and storage and to improve overall production efficiency. The system has five important modules including production task management( production task acceptance and confirmation by responsible unit), procedure plan management( refining the task into procedures and schedules), production process management(management, monitoring, statistics and analysis of the overall production site operation), quality inspection and storage management(procedure inspection, product inspection, rejected product control and storage management), and outsource management(management for production procedures that need outsource). It was then used as an experimental unit to explore a workshop management MES system that is applicable to aerospace manufacturers across China. The paper described in detail management methods for application software projects, and conducted a series of research work from requirement analysis to proposal design & detailed design and then to system implementation and testing. The requirement phase mainly confirmed function and application range of development system, as well as the requirement priorities. During the design phase, the key point was to perform detailed design for each module based on system requirements that were confirmed earlier, and to form design instructions. In the area of database design, paradigm requirements were strictly followed to accomplish database concept design, logic design, and database E-R figure design. The system used J2 EE application technology, Oracle database, ADO.net database connection technology for development and implementation. Detailed test cases were designed for the system to carry out integrated tests, so as to find out and correct system mistakes, as well as to conduct test runs to verify the practical design effects.
