Tu ethnic minority Art Deco building is an artistic form of minorities peculiar to Gansu and Qinghai in northwest China, which directly reflects the history, religion, folk culture and so on a series of important national characteristicsof Tu ethnic minority, and also is an example of perfect combination of unique culture of ethnic minorities and the architectural decoration art. In recent years, increasingly extensive attention and concern has been paid to the protection and inheritance of characteristic buildings of Tu ethnic minority. This paper systematically carries on the analysis and integrationto the performance system and the artistic features of architectural decoration art of Tu nationality:firstly, the differences and relations of Tibetan Buddhism and the religion building decoration art and the minority architectural decoration art would be made clear; secondly,clearing up the the characteristics and changes of the Tu local-style dwelling houses building decoration art in the process of development; and finally looks ahead and comments on the development and application trend of the Tu ethnic minority Art Deco.The article takes various religious buildings and residential buildingsin the Tu communities in Qinghaias the main object of study. The author carries out the analysis from four major parts: the causes of the Tu architectural decorative arts, specifically architectural forms, the TuReligious Art Deco features and decorative features of residential buildings. The first two parts takes a flat analysis of the Tu architectural Decoart style, and systematically analyze and summarize from three angles ofpainting, sculpture, embroidery fabric by combining with a variety of building types in the Tu area, highlighting the diverse characteristics of the Tuarchitectural art. Part III summarizes the status quo and decorative features of the Turegion’s major religious buildings, and on this basis analyzing and summarizing the distinction and connection of the Tu architectural art of Tibetan Buddhism and other religious buildings from decorative colors and decorative patterns, sticking out the personalized features of the Tu architectural art. According to the theoretical basis of traditional and modern sectors of the Tu houses, the fourth part analyzes its respective architectural and artistic features, and the link and change in the long-term process of development. The last part is the anarchically application prospects and outlook proposal to the Tu architectural art.Faced with the accelerating urbanization of the contemporary era, the Tu culture and tradition are being destroyed, assimilated, lack of geographical features and cultural connotation and other issuesin the process of development and architectural inheritance. This paperis completed from Tu Nationality comprehend architectural concept, architectural characteristics of Tu Nationality heritage perspective, is hoped to have some reference value to the protection and inheritance of the Tu Nationality decorative arts.
