In the development of the modern power grid, on the one hand, it need to deal with the pressure of environment protection, on the other hand, transmission, distribution and the progress of informatization and digitization technology also provides a solid technical support for it. In the field of computer, an embedded system can accord to different operating systems, using a simple loop control to process the request to the outside world, in addition, due to open source Linux system, the embedded system development cost and have powerful network function.The article based on μC/OS-Ⅱembedded system platform, the 80C196 KC module as the CPU of embedded system with RS485 serial port external communication and with different protection with the function of data transmission, and the gal chip to solve the internal and external velocity mismatch problem, by power electronic component design of input and output module, complete introduced embedded system in microcomputer protection function for the protection of the CPU, a data sampling and trip output provides a theory to explain. Makes it possible to match the MS- level delay between different protection. In this paper, the application of embedded system in line protection, bus differential protection and main transformer protection is introduced in this paper.Article summarizes the research achievements in the past, on the basis of combining with the present environmental protection and the construction of ultra-high voltage problems, through the combination of software engineering and power technology, advantage of the characteristics of embedded system, better the development of the development of intelligent power grid.
