Research On Construction Project Schedule Control Based On BIM

With the rapid development of construction industry, the scale of the construction project is larger, the structure is more complex, construction period is getting longer, so it puts forward higher requirements on construction project management. However, the construction informationization in China is not sufficient. There are many problems in communication between the stakeholders, it leads to low efficiency of project management, seriously affected the ec onomic benefits of construction project. Schedule control as one of the three major objectives of construction control, is directly related to the success of the project economic benefits. Traditional schedule control methods have been unable to meet the needs of modern management. BIM technology is a new information technology which will greatly improve the degree of integration of construction projects, and effectively improve the traditional management mode, implement the elaborating management of the project.Based on above background, the paper presents a model which applies BIM for construction schedule control. The model is based on cloud BIM technology, combined with the earned value analysis method, for joint control of construction project schedule and cost, effectively manage construction.Firstly, based on the analysis of construction project schedule control theory, found existing problems in construction schedule control, combine the characteristics of the BIM technology, discusses the feasibili ty and applicability of schedule control using BIM; Then, put forward the construction project schedule control model based on BIM, and analyze the key issues about the model: introduce the information about schedule control in the IFC standard, set up sch edule control information model based on the IFC; Comparing several kinds of BIM model application, put forward cloud BIM management mode to the project schedule control effectively; Combining BIM and earned value analysis to achieve the joint schedule-cost control; Finally, through a case simulation, the processes of the model are introduced, and give advances to application.In this paper, the research involves the construction forefront in the field of BIM. The achievement of this research can improve the information level of construction project management, it also can implement more careful and effective project schedule control, provide the reference for subsequent research.
