After more than30years of development, the gross value of China’s manufacturing industry has been among the world top and playing an increasingly important role for the development of China’s economy. Especially in the current transition period, China’s manufacturing workforce will face a new supply and demand situation. This article will combine quantitative and qualitative analysis to predict and analyze China’s manufacturing industry labor supply and demand situation through the historical data and prediction model before2020. In this paper, it will systematically show the labor supply and demand change, characteristics and trend of employment of the manufacturing enterprises in our country in a few years later.Prediction results show that before2020, the manufacturing enterprise employment number will remain at around120to160million, while Labor supply trends show will have a sufficient supply of population security. In recent years, the hard recruitment for most manufacturing company looks like a big problem, the root of this problem is not because of the labor supply and demand imbalance in quantity, but for the labor supply of structure, age, education, the new generation employee demands and transition of the macroeconomic situation, industrial structure adjustment, such as manufacturing labor demand for technical personnel and skilled workers will increase obviously. In addition, through the study divisions and prediction can be seen under the transition period of labour-intensive manufacturing staff management model should be as the focus of enterprise development, and technology-intensive manufacturing should strengthen technical personnel’s training and development system. In the future of population ageing, to improving the quality of population should pay more attention and strengthen the talent training. On the one hand, the government can give manufacturers more macro policy support, on the other hand, the company itself also need to change positively in order to meet the Labor market, besides, should practice of "people-oriented" and develop the talent training system.
