With the opportunity of entering World Trade Organization, the economic globalization and the development of market economy, the business transformation and upgrading and integration of industrial chain has become the only way for Chinese enterprises to participate global competition, explore potential opportunities and seek innovative developments. How to adjust to the changing business environment, enhance integration of industrial chain, transform development model and seize the opportunity to develop own products, has become the very first challenges for domestic basic software producers.This article presents the development of domestic Data Base Management Software system under the regular pattern of software industry, focusing on the marketization of domestic Data Base Software Management system based on DM systems. With the implication of PETS theory, the external environment of politics, law, economy, society and technology has been analyzed. The Porter’s five-force model has been used to analyze industrial environment and present the opportunity and challenging now facing. The SWOT method has been employed to analyze the advantage, disadvantage, opportunity and threat for the company.Through all the analysis above, with the draw of the experience of some successful companies in this industry, key market strategies have been listed in this paper, as upgrade of the production while supporting from the nation is strong and sufficient, integration of the industry alliance for better cooperation and resources, channel built up, break through in new application field, enlarge the market share, etc,.This paper intended to dig into the market development strategy with analysis of current environments for domestic Data Base Management System companies. Although some periodic conclusions have been accumulated through this paper, as the change of market environment, it is believed that necessary adjustments has to be carried out and further discussion is always continuously.
