Research On Social Responsibility Of State - Owned Commercial Banks As Public Enterprises

The theory of corporate social responsibility originated from Western countries in twentieth Century, with the tide of economic globalization, the concept of corporate social responsibility has gradually been introduced to our country and used to guide domestic enterprises to fulfill their social responsibilities. This thesis takes the state-owned commercial banks as a case study, makes an analysis of the existing problems in performing social responsibility,analyze these problems and put forward the suggestion on how to promote the state-owned commercial banks to fulfill their social responsibility better.This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction. The second chapter through the analysis of the meaning, characteristic of the public enterprises, the related theory of corporate social responsibility, explain the definition of public enterprises and the meaning of the content of social responsibility. The third chapter selects five major state-owned commercial banks and two foreign commercial banks as a case, analyze the existing problems in the process of the state-owned commercial banks fulfill their social responsibility of our country. The fourth chapter, according to the third chapter analysis of the existing problems in the process of social responsibility performance by state-owned commercial banks in china, makes suggestions on how to better promote the state-owned commercial banks of fulfilling their social responsibilities, This is also the purpose of this article. The fifth chapter is the conclusion.How to better promote the state-owned commercial banks to fulfill their social responsibilities, I suggest:first, to strengthen theoretical research. We may also use the research methods and research results of the Europe and the United States for reference, and combine with the China conditions, to construct the theory of corporate social responsibility with China characteristics; second, to boost the government, industry associations, the media, non-governmental organizations and other social parties participating enthusiasm, to play their role of management and supervision actively; last, enterprises should strengthen the cultivation of the consciousness of social responsibility and add the social responsibilities fulfillment into the strategic planning of enterprise development.
