Consecutive Interpreting At The Second People’s Hospital Of Lanzhou On The Fast Track Surgeon Conference Of Denmark In2013

As a report on English to Chinese consecutive interpreting with text, this dissertation describes oneconsecutive interpreting task conducted by author for the Second People’s Hospital of Lanzhou which is given apresentation by delegates of Hvidovre University Hospital in Denmark and analyzes the interpretation of thespeech delivered by Billy. B. Kristensen who is the Head of Ambulatory Surgery Department of HvidovreUniversity Hospital of Denmark to give a vivid presentation of the Fast Track Surgery which includesfoundation and development of the Fast Track Surgery, achievements got by using the Fast Track Surgery andthe speaker compares the differences and merits between western medicine and Chinese traditional medicineand the advantages of integration of western medicine and Chinese traditional medicine. The author analyzesand narrates the problems may occur at the procession of consecutive interpreting and find out the interpretingstrategies and solutions based on the speaker’s statement.
