The trend of globalization has gone into human beings’ life in all walks. ModernChina has established relationships with many countries in the world. Against thisbackdrop, Chinese culture begins to absorb foreign elements to boost itself. At thesame time, foreign people also have begun to pay their attention to the changes ofChina and seek opportunities here in China. Interpreters set up a bridge for thecommunication between Chinese and foreigners.This report was based on the author’s interpreting job for an advertisementcompany. At the same time, Interpretive theory, put forward by Lerderer andSeleskovitch is a milestone for interpreting studies. Occasionally, the author foundherself applied its core concept—deverbalization in her practice. The authorparticipated the processes of advertisement shooting and documentary shooting, inwhich the author adopted Interpretive Theory to cope with the difficulties sheencountered. Meanwhile, she sheds light on some interpreting tactics extracted fromthe Interpretive Theory to improve the quality of interpreting. The author hopes thatthis report could provide some experience to the interpreters who may work in a filmcrew to better meet the demands of such job.
