The host always has a deep discussion with the invited guestsand guides them to show their own opinions about the hot issues relating to thepolitical, economic, cultural, and social aspects. During the interpreting practice, with the guidance of theInterpretative Theory, the writer aims to master the core meaning of source languageand tries to get rid of the pattern of source language so as to interpret it by using anew word which could convey the same meaning, not just to interpret it word byword.The writer makes a conclusion from two aspects: On one hand, from thestructural aspect, based on the characteristics of interview program’s turn-taking, thewriter focuses on how to find the clues of interview program’s turn-taking tips so thatthe interpreter could speculate and judge the change of turn-taking. Because of theseclues, the interpreter could predict what kind of information the speaker will talkabout in advance and then makes relevant interpreting preparations. On the other hand,from the aspect of content, the writer focuses on the interpreting techniques of wordsand long sentences. For the words, the writer wants to summarize the interpreting tipsof terminology and the conversion of word classes which have come across manytimes during the interpreting process. For the long and complex sentences, the writerfocuses on the methods how to divide them into several short sense-groups which areeasy to be understood and interpreted. Also, the writer uses many other interpreting methods during the practice, such as adding, omitting and so on. This report is anexperience conclusion about the interview program’s interpreting and it aims to servea better consecutive interpretation in the future.
