A Practice Report On Simulation-based Consecutive Interpretation Of Speeches

With the increasing interactions between China and the international community, international forums, seminars, events and dialogues etc. Are springing up all over China since the implement of the reform and opening-up policy. Meanwhile, as the fastest growing power in the global arena, China's voice is eager to be heard and the world is expecting China to take its share of responsibility in the global community. Therefore, served as the bridge of cross-language communication, English-Chinese interpretation becomes a loop of critical significance, in that it directly affects the efficiency and quality of communication. Studies in English-Chinese Interpretation can always contribute to eliminating language barriers and establishing better communication.This report is based on a simulative practice of consecutive Chinese-to-English interpretation. By going through the whole process of the simulative consecutive interpretation and summerizing relevant theories and strategies, the report is conducted to unveil the successful interpretation behaviors the interpreter has established and the possible future improvements. It aims to reflect on the interpretation study of the author and also hopes to provide reference for those who are in the study of interpretation.
