A Study On The "Tibet-related" Activities Of Friedrich Naumann Foundation(1990-2010)

Friedrich Naumann Foundation for freedom (Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für dieFreiheit, FNS) is founded in1958by Theodor Heuss who is the president of theFederal of Germany at the time, in order to commemorate the famous Germanypolitician Friedrich Naumann, the objective of foundation is to promote developmentof the liberalism in the world, the head office is located in Potsdam of Germany.In the late of1980s and the early of1990s, the international public—relationactivities of Dalai Lama make the international communities pay attention to “Tibetproblem” again, in the meantime,“human rights” becomes the important constituentpart of diplomatic policy of German government since1990s. Under the influence ofinternational and German situation, FNS pays attention and starts to support theindependent activities of Dalai clique. The “Tibet-related” activities of the FNSmainly include:1. FNS sets up “Tibetan Parliamentary and Policy Research Centre”with “Assembly of Tibetan People’s Deputies”;2. FNS organizes international“Tibet-related” conference that is the “International Conference of Tibet SupportGroups”；3. FNS issues publication to propagandize the “Tibet problems”;4.FNStakes part in other “Tibet-related” activities.
