Researh On Press Conference C-E Interpretation From The Perspective Of "Three Rules" Of The Skopos Theory

In recent years, the press conference is becoming more and more important inmany aspects of our country, at the same time, the interpreters shoulder the greatresponsibility in the activities of the press conference, as we can see, interpreting hasbecome the "bridge" among people of different cultural background with rapidupward trend, and it plays a significant role."Three rules” which is a practicalstrategy is widely used by interpreters. Facing the translation of the different nature ofthe text, the interpreters can use "three rules" strategy to express semantic meaningsmost of the original text. In order to make the "three rules" strategy can be widelyused in interpreting, I combined the former studies of the Skopos theory as well as theanalysis and discussion to the press conference under "three rules" strategy, trying toexpand the "three rules" strategy to the field of interpretation, so as to facilitate theinterpreter to explore the "three rules" strategy actively with the theoretical guidanceof the Skopos theory.In this paper, I extracted and reorganized the Premier Wen’s conference audio,video data, and I selected many typical examples of Wen’s conferences’ interpretation,to analyze the examples’ details with the Skopos theory, and I combined with thebasic quality requirements for interpreters in interpreting, aims to analyze and studythe three principles under the guidance of Skopos theory; on one hand, this paper aimsat widening the scope of the functional translation theory, on the other hand, it aims atsupporting more theoretical contributions to interpretation researches.Through interpreting materials comparison and analysis of the news conferenceof Premier Wen Jiabao, the paper draws the following conclusion: first of all, theinterpreters should improve their quality in all aspects, do all the preparations;secondly, under the guidance of Skopos theory, the "three rules" as the guidingstrategy, the different text translation for diplomacy, allusions, poetry and metaphorare flexible to deal with in order to make the audience fully understand, to make surethat the translation work can be completed successfully.
