With its increasing acceleration, globalization is exerting great influence on every field of social life.Accordingly, cultural soft power gradually becomes the focus of people’s attention. In recent years, alongwith worldwide “Chinese Fever”, Confucius Institutes have sprung up like mushrooms after rainthroughout the world, which promotes both Chinese and Chinese culture effectively.Opera is a traditional Chinese culture, as well as the world’s spiritual and cultural wealth. Thequestion that how to spread Chinese opera culture better in cross-cultural communication, is a worthyresearch subject for TCSL teachers to constantly explore. In this thesis, the author began with aninvestigation on the spreading situation of Chinese traditional opera culture in the world. The investigationaims to help readers to have a better understanding of the spreading situation, and then further strengthenits spreading force and validity. The whole thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is anintroduction, including the research background, content, methods and significance. The second and thirdchapters are the body part of the thesis. Chapter two mainly describes the spreading situation of Chineseopera in the US, Japan, and France. The spreading influence, significance and existing problems of Chineseopera abroad are also mentioned in chapter two. Chapter three puts forward some concrete proposals topromote Chinese opera culture to spread better abroad.It’s hoped that the investigation of this thesis make a contribution to the spread of Chinese operaculture overseas, help more foreign friends understand Chinese opera culture, and promote furtherexchanges and cooperation of world’s opera culture.
