The Study Of Construction Of China’s Cultural Soft Power Index System

As an important part of the overall national strength, cultural soft power has playedan increasingly prominent role in the global competition. Any country whoever wants towin a lasting initiative in the fierce international competition should continue toimprove the competitiveness of its national cultural soft power. Thousands of years’broad and profound civilization of China, not only is the spirit of Chinese and even theworld people’s wisdom, but also the spiritual support of Chinese people to realize theirgreat rejuvenation. Therefore, to enhance the competitiveness of our cultural soft power,establishing the China’s cultural soft power Index System becomes an urgent task tosolve.Based on the national implementation of the cultural strategy, through a lot ofliterature review and organize firstly, in the full understanding of the current research ofsoft cultural power in home and abroad, this article clarified the relevant concepts aboutcomprehensive national strength, soft power, hard power, soft cultural power etc. firstly,then analyzed the characteristics and the elements of cultural soft power. Based on theMarxism spiritual production theory, Marxist dialectic theory, system evaluation theory,the article also discussed six aspects of the cultural soft power from culturalproductivity, cultural consumption, cultural support force, cultural innovation, culturaltransmission power and cultural attractions in details; and proposed the basic principlesof how to build a evaluation index system of cultural soft power evaluation system, andusing AHP (AHP) to determine the proportion of each evaluation index weights; Inorder to verify scientific and operational evaluation of the evaluation index system anddetermine the feasibility of the evaluation system, this article used the fuzzycomprehensive evaluation on the development of China’s cultural soft power, the articleproposed some appropriate countermeasures based on the plights of enhancing China’s cultural soft power.Currently, the study of cultural soft power stayed in the qualitative discussionmostly, lacking of an effective rational cultural soft power index system lead to theevaluation difficulties of the effectiveness of the national culture soft power, as well as acountry’s economy and cultural influences. In this paper, based on the existing domesticand overseas evaluation system, with the combination of China’s cultural industrydevelopment situation, the article proposed a cultural soft power index evaluationsystem with Chinese cultural characteristics; In order to prove the scientific andoperability of the system, using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model for theempirical analysis, this would be useful for enriching the research of cultural industrydevelopment theory, and also enhancing China’s cultural soft power.
