After the disintegration of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War,Western countries dominated by the United States began to realize that the strength of hard power does not guarantee the continued stability of the Soviet state.In the same way,if we rely solely on hard power,the United States cannot occupy the hegemonic position of the world.In this international political context the importance of military and economic aspects that have long been regarded as the core elements of hard power has declined relatively,and the importance of soft power with culture,ideology,and political values as the core has increased.In 1990,Harvard University professor Joseph Nye put forward the "soft power" theory and gained worldwide attention.China has also become one of the first countries to focus on soft power.The concept of soft power was introduced to China by the academic circles in the 1990s.It has been a history of communication and development for nearly 30 years and has become a high-frequency vocabulary in the field of Chinese political culture.This paper mainly uses quantitative analysis to summarize the specific characteristics of soft power concept in different periods and different discourse fields in China,and then analyzes its development trend,historical stage and discourse relationship,aiming at knowledge of the concept of soft power in China.A simple analysis of sociology,sorting out the process of gradual theorization in the context of globalization in contemporary China,and exploring the existence of society,the existence of the era and its relationship as the "soft power" of knowledge.The concept of "soft power,has become a phenomenon of generalization of words in China along with the promotion of reform and opening up and changes in social structure,and has gradually become rich in its unique characteristics.This article explains that with the establishment of the market economy,the interests of multiple entities are created by the establishment of multiple entities,which includes both economic and political,as well as cultural.Therefore,the concept of "soft power",which originally belonged only to the national level,gradually sank to include lower-level stakeholders such as cities,schools,and enterprises.At the same time,the concept of "cultural soft power" was first proposed in the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2007,indicating that the ruling party intends to create a cultural "core" of the socialist road with Chinese characteristics,and intends to take the lead in realizing the transformation of modernization with culture as a breakthrough..Finally,this paper believes that the primary core issue of China's soft power communication is to provide pioneering value and significance for the development of the community of human destiny,but China's value system and traditional culture have not been truly understood and accepted by mainstream Western society.Therefore,it will be a very long process to truly spread the soft power that China should have.In addition to the forces promoted by the government,various folk elements with Chinese imprints are constantly filling the extermal image of China's original cognac in various interactions,and affecting the world as China's unique soft power.
