“Zi-centered” is based on the Chinese own characteristics, which treats the Chinese characters as the basic structure unit of Chinese, providing a new way of thinking in the research of Chinese and Chinese characters. Meanwhile,“zi-centered” and its teaching theory also have a far-reaching meaning on the research of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language(TCSL).The thesis takes the“Zi-centered” teaching materials on as the object of the research, using the literature review, statistics and comparative analysis methods to investigate the application situation of “Zi-centered” theory in materials and discussing the pros and cons of compilation. Finally, we put forward targeted written suggestions on“Zi-centered” materials.The dissertation is divided into five parts:Chapter One is the introduction, analyses the reason, purpose and significance of my research meaning, research review, the theoretical basis,methods and corpus sources, steps of research and innovation points.Chapter Two summarizes the “Zi-centered” from two parts: the “Zi-centered”ontology theory and the “Zi-centered” teaching theory.Chapter Three mainly discusses the overall design、the writing principals and the comparison of structure style of the materials, as well as analyzing the application situation of “Zi-centered” theory in the materials "Chinese characters", "vocabulary" and "grammar" three levels.Chapter Four is in accordance with the results of the third chapter, and we propose the targeted written suggestions on “Zi-centered” materials.Chapter Five is the summary.
